Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 September 2026
This policy explains what Wilburn Group LLC, DBA Design Patternly ("we", "us"), does with personal information collected through designpatternly.com.
1. What we collect
- Account details — your name, email address, and optionally a phone number.
- Billing details — your billing address and the country, postal code, card brand, and last four digits of your card, as returned to us by our payment processor.
- Usage data — which patterns you download, when you log in, and basic technical information such as browser type, device type, and IP address.
- Correspondence — anything you send us by email, kept so we can deal with your query and refer back to it later.
2. Why we use it
- To create and run your account and give you access to the pattern library.
- To take the payments you have authorised, and to issue receipts and renewal reminders.
- To answer your emails and provide support.
- To send service messages — a renewal notice, a change to these policies, a security alert. These are not marketing and cannot be opted out of while you hold an account.
- To send occasional emails about new pattern releases, if you opt in. Every one of those has an unsubscribe link.
- To detect and prevent fraud and misuse, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information, and we do not rent or trade mailing lists. We share data only with service providers who need it to run the business:
- our payment processor, to take payments and handle refunds and disputes;
- our email provider, to send receipts and service messages;
- our hosting and analytics providers, to serve the site and understand how it is used; and
- law enforcement or regulators, where we are legally required to.
4. Cookies
We use cookies that are necessary for the site to work — keeping you logged in, remembering your chosen plan at checkout, and securing forms. We may also use basic analytics cookies to count visits and see which pages are used. You can block cookies in your browser, but the login and checkout will not work without the necessary ones.
5. How long we keep it
Account and usage data is kept while your account is open and for a reasonable period after you close it, so we can handle refunds, disputes, and support follow-ups. Records of transactions are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires — generally seven years. You can ask us to delete the rest sooner.
6. Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or ask us to stop sending marketing email. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights — for instance under the California Consumer Privacy Act or the UK and EU GDPR, including the right to object to processing and to complain to your data protection authority. Email support@designpatternly.com and we will respond within thirty days. We do not charge for this and we will not treat you differently for asking.
7. Security
The site is served over TLS, passwords are stored hashed, and access to member data is limited to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects your personal information we will tell you and the relevant regulator as the law requires.
8. Children
The service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal information, tell us and we will delete it.
9. International transfers
We are based in the United States and our providers may process data there. If you are accessing the site from outside the US, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the US.
10. Changes
If we change this policy materially we will email account holders before the change takes effect. The date at the top always shows the current version.
